Now on its third year, ScholaRun is aimed at raising funds for AmCham Foundation’s scholarship programs for underprivileged children. The charity run is divided into 10K, 5K, and 3K distance categories. The event gathered together over 2,500 running enthusiast from various industries and other AmCham-affiliated organizations.
Acquire’s rapid expansion in the Philippines is fuelled by growth in the BPO sector.
Acquire Asia Pacific, has announced the expansion of their Philippines operations committing to a new facility in Manila. The expansion is driven by Acquire’s rapid growth in the Philippines after winning several new multinational clients. The new facility will increase Acquire’s production space in Manila to over 16,000 sqm and will house clients growing outsourcing demands for 24/7 global support, customer service and sales activity. “The new facility is expected to go live in July this year and will assist in bolting on an additional USD$30m annual revenue to our current operations,” said CEO Scott Stavretis.
Taguig, Philippines – Wells Fargo recently inaugurated its new facility in the Philippines, attended by senior leaders from Wells Fargo & Company. Located in one of Metro Manila’s growing Cyberparks – McKinley Hill, the Wells Fargo Center, which will be over 300,000 square feet and house 2800 seats once it is fully completed, currently caters to 900 team members supporting the various lines of business of the Bank through its Enterprise Global Services (EGS) Delivery unit.

WITH the continued expansion of the local business-process outsourcing (BPO) industry, Teleperformance remains bullish on its business prospects in the Philippines, particularly seeing more growth in the non-voice services in 2014.
Citing report from the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP), David Rizzo, president for Asia Pacific of Teleperformance, told the BusinessMirror that the BPO sector is expected to meet its 18-percent growth target in 2013 and hit a total revenue of $10.4 billion for the year.
